Another witness said he saw the child outside at least 30 minutes earlier. Police went to the apartment they thought was the residence of the child, heard a television on and knocked on the door. A female later identified as Gregor opened the door slowly, apear groggy and in pajamas.
Police told her they found a child and believe he may belong there. The female calmly said he belongs here and must have gotten out, that he is her nephew and she watches him regularly.
When police arrived with the child, Gregor showed no emotion. The child ran down the hall, out of sight. The woman admitted she fell asleep and didn’t realize the child left.
