• Tyler T. Lastine, 27, 313 Washington Ave., Hanska, was charged with felony 3rd-degree burglary and gross misdemeanor 4th-degree burglary March 20. According to court documents, Brown County dispatch received a 911 call at 1:44 a.m. March 17 from a Sleepy Eye resident about a vehicle stuck in his yard and the party was trying to free the vehicle.
Deputies identified the driver as Tyler Lastine who said he took a winch and tried to get his vehicle free. A deputy went to a white Ford pickup with a winch and cables attached to the rear receiver hitch. The cable was strung out and attached to Lastine’s car. A set of jumper cables were next to the vehicle.
The caller said his winch and jumper cables were in the garage and Lastine took them. Lastine was arrested for burglary. A vehicle search revealed a small amount of marijuana.
• David J. Mitchell, 25, no address, was charged with felony fugitive from justice from other state March 20. According to court documents, a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy learned that Mitchell was a fugitive from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and was issued a pre-revocation warrant on Aug. 3.
The warrant read that Mitchell lapsed or was about to lapse into criminal ways or company, or was ineligible release and declared a fugitive from justice and ineligible for bond. He fled the State of Texas to the State of Minnesota, where he was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail on March 17.
