• Sarah M. Curry, 34, Wells, was convicted of felony fifth-degree drug possession-not small amount of marijuana Dec. 18. A charge of unlawful possession of Legend drugs was dismissed. Sentence is a stay of imposition. Successful probation completion will result in a misdemeanor conviction.
She was sentenced to 149 days in the Brown County Jail, credited with 149 days served. She was fined $1,160. May get credit for out-of-pocket expenses for chemical dependency assessment and counseling, medication management and “Thinking for Change” program if successfully completed.
She was placed on five years supervised probation, monitored by the Department of Corrections, Field Services. Conditions include completing chemical use assessment and counseling, follow all recommendations, pay all fees, take medications in prescribed dosage and frequency, complete Cognitive Skills Class at probation request, abstain from alcohol use and all other mood-altering chemicals unless prescribed by a physician. Do not use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives, do not register to vote or vote until probation discharge. She was Sentenced to Service for 40 hours within an indeterminate period of time, within 12 months of sentencing.
