NUHS Class of 1948 holds 70th Reunion

The New Ulm High School class of 1948 recently celebrated its 70th class reunion at the Turner Hall with social time and luncheon. This was the 11th time this class held a reunion. The class of ’48 had 109 members. Hubert Humphrey —who was then the Mayor of Minneapolis — was the guest speaker at their Commencement Ceremony. In the second row, from left, are Fred Schneider, Delores (Bieraugel) Kokesch, Dorothy (Kumm) Klement, Carol (Zins) Huelskamp, and Patty (Harman) Northwen. In back, from left, are Virgil Henrich, Lloyd “Korney” Kornman, Floyd Alwin, Ellis Jones, Ruth (Ganske) Nielsen and Lois (Schmitz) Sveine.
