Monday Night Concert in German Park on June 25 will have entertainment by The Original German Band starting at 7 p.m. Bring the family early to enjoy the Puppet Wagon at 6:15 p.m.

Look for our new FREE Rec On the Go program traveling to a location near you this summer to play games, sports, crafts and other fun activities! Healthy Snacks will be provided for youth 18 and under. Visit our website for dates and locations. Special stops this week at New Ulm Mobile Village (2526 S. Bridge St.) on Wednesday, June 27 from 10:30 a.m.-12 noon and Traulich Estates (2201 N. Broadway) from 12:30-2 p.m.! Join the fun! Joint the movement! This program is made possible through partnerships with Allina Health/New Ulm Medical Center and Independent School District 88, Pro Kinship for Kids and the City of New Ulm Public Library and Park and Rec Departments.

Municipal Band Concert at German Park Wednesday, June 27 starting at 7 p.m.

Full Moon over Hermann Monument Enjoy the view of the MN River Valley under a full moon atop Hermann Monument Friday, June 29 until 10 p.m. Regular admission applies. Monument will close for inclement weather.

Water Access Sites at Minnecon and Adams Parks closed until the water recedes.

Weight Lifting for Seniors is a 6-week program to help approach strength training in a safe, effective and fun way that keeps you strong for life. Strength training can ward off age-related muscle loss, keep bones strong, promote mobility and function, prevent falls and even help combat depression. Classes are Mondays at 10 a.m. July 9, 16, 23, 30, Aug. 6, 13. Register at the Rec Center or online.

Get to Know Nature and Canoeing – Scott Kudelka, DNR Naturalist will teach proper canoeing techniques and safety while exploring the beautiful Minnesota River. Class has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 19 and will meet at Minnecon Park at 1 p.m. Participants must be picked up at Eckstein Landing, near the intersection of Hwy 15 and 37 at 2 p.m. Fee is $5 Residents and $5.50 Non-residents. Pre-registration is required.

Field Trip to Hutchinson’s new aquatic center Friday, July 20. Water park has two water slides, rock climbing wall, water dome, water arch, diving boards and more! Van departs from the Rec Center at 12:30 p.m. and returns at 5 p.m. Fee is $17 Residents or $18.70 non-residents that includes transportation and admission to the park. Pre-registration is required.

Wading Pools are open daily from 12:30-6:30 p.m. through Aug. 19. Children must be with an adult of 18 years of age responsible for the conduct and safety for the child(ren) they bring to the pool. There is no lifeguard on duty. Air temp must be at least 72 degrees or higher to open.

The Puppet Wagon is a summertime favorite for all ages. Puppeteers entertain through skits, songs and silly dances. Each show is 20-30 minutes. Shows are canceled for inclement weather. Check out our website for show times and locations.

Summer Activities Online Registration is open and available.

Open Pickleball at Rec Center Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-2:30 p.m. and Saturdays through May from 8-10 a.m. Memberships, Punch cards, cards or Daily Admission apply.

Outdoor Pickleball available at Lincoln Park! Open play is scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m. There is a lock box in Lincoln Park with equipment to use. Please call 507-359-8347 for the code to access.
